Hyderabad: The CAT 2012 Notification is expected shortly. Common Admission Test, which will enable the candidates to get the admission in to country’s premium management institutes – IIMs. As per the preliminary announcement, IIM Kozhikode will be the coordinator for CAT 2012.
As per the information provided by IIM Kozhikode on CAT 2012 Notification and CAT Online applications and Test dates, below is the tentative schedule:
CAT 2012 Online Test will be open:
CAT 2012 Online Test voucher Sale: 30 July to 17 September 2012.
CAT Registration Window open from: 30 July to 19 September 2012.
CAT 2012 Test Dates: 11th October – 6th November 2012.
CAT 2012 Results will be declared on: 9th January 2013

The CAT 2012 online test comprises two sections that are separately timed. Each of the sections will be 1 hour and 10 minutes (70 minutes) duration. There will be 30 questions in each section.
The sections are (a) Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (b) Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.
CAT 2012 aspirants should note that, once answering a section ends, aspirants can no longer go back to it. So, before getting to answer the online test, candidates should try the demo version to get an idea on the navigation and other features of the test.
There are 13 IIMs in the country located at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kashipur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Shillong,Tiruchirappalli and Udaipur.
