University of Hyderabad inks pact with Tokyo University of Science for academic partnership | UoH updates
Hyderabad, January 20: University of Hyderabad, one of India’s top-ranked central universities, has signed a broad-based Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tokyo University of Science, Japan. The MoU was signed by President of Tokyo University of Science, Professor Fujishima and by Professor Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, Vice-Chancellor respectively, on behalf of the two institutions, in the presence of Director, International Affairs, Professor M. Ramanadham, Dean, School of Life Sciences, Professor A.R. Reddy, Head, Department of Plant Sciences, Professor A.S. Raghavendra, and Dr. Ashok Chatterjee, Chairman, MoU Committee.
The MoU with UoH envisages, among other things, agree to coordinate and collaborate in academic activities pertaining to effective and mutually beneficial cooperation, to develop academic and cultural exchange in education, research and other areas, and to extensively cooperate towards the internalization of higher education; R&D collaborations; training and teaching; organization of joint seminars, symposia, and conferences; exchange of information regarding business ideas, product innovation and all other relevant activities of mutual interest.
