TSPSC | Telangana State Public Service Commission Formed on 16th Dec 2014
Hyderabad, 17 December 2014: A much-awaited G.O. from Telangana Government has been issued on 16th December 2014 (Tuesday) creating TSPSC or Telangana Public Service Commission.
Creation of own public service commission after state bifurcation was a promise made by Telangana chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. The unemployed youth of Telangana state can now expect government job notifications regularly.
As per the notification, the Telangana State Public Service Commission has come in to existence and working from 16th December 2014. The state government has issued detailed notification providing the guidelines on functioning of the TSPSC.
The government appointed Sundar Abner as first Secretary of TSPSC. Once the formalities of the TSPSC are completed, the state government plans to appoint a full time Chairman and five members board for TSPSC. Educationist and popular analyst Ghanta Chakrapani is the front-runner for the post.
It is expected that at least 1,00,000 vacancies likely to be filled through TSPSC in next 2 years. Telangana Chief Minister Mr. K.Chandra Shekhar Rao has announced in state assembly that, the government is going to recruit above 1 lakh employs through TSPSC to provide jobs as promised during the creation of new state. After bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the new state Telangana is facing severe shortage of staff at top level. It is expected that there will be massive recruitment for Group-I and Group-II cadres too.
TSPSC is likely to function from the same building where the APPSC was functioning earlier. Once the service commission is start its full functioning, the sate government is able to assess the actual position of the vacancies, though there were several announcement earlier. The fresh notifications likely to start begin from TSPSC in New Year 2015.
