Hyderabad, October 9: The people’s strike in Telagana region in support of separate statehood issue entered in to 27th day, the management’s of private schools and colleges are in dilemma on future of their students. The intermediate board has announced tentative schedule for Inter first and second year annual exams in the month of March. On the other side, students from the Telangana region lost almost 100 days of their academic schedule. As result, students are not able to cope up with the curriculum calendar and lagging behind their counterpart of the other regions. Parents as well as teachers are worried about this situation. To save the academic year and help the student community in the region, the management’s body may soon approach the joint action committee of Telangana to consider allowing the smooth function of academic institutions at least from third week of the October. The decision on this issue expected shortly. Some management associations are looking to begin classes from October 10, but not sure about the response of the T agitators.
The students right from primary to University level higher education were sitting at home since the strike began. Students of Osmania University in Hyderabad and Kakatiya University in Warangal are taking lead role in Telangana agitation, the 60 years long struggle for self government and separate state hood for the region.
