No NEET for this year
Hyderabad, December 13: With the growing descent over the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – NEET for medical admission from various states, MCI has finally decided to post pone it for next year. MCI has announced to conduct NEET for medical UG and PG admission across the country starting from the current year. However, states including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa and Puduchery have raised objections and some states got stay from courts. The state’s argument is that, their syllabus at 10+2 level was not tuned in line with the NEET syllabus, hence it may hurt the prospects of their students.
As the NEET was postponed, CBSE now plans to conduct AIPMT – All India pre Medical, pre Dental Test as per the old pattern.
