Hyderabad: Those who are rigorously preparing for IIT Joint Entrance Exam known as IIT-JEE 2011, be ready. The IIT Joint Admission Board, which comprises all directors of 15 IITs all over the country decided to conduct the entrance test on April 10th. The board member met in Kanpur IIT campus.
IIT-JEE 2011 test will be conducted by IIT Kanpur. Last year, the was conducted by IIT Chennai.
The full scheduled including form submission and other important dates will be decided in next 10 days. This time there won’t be any changes in pattern, but board strictly decided not to give a chance to any printing mistakes or errors in the test. The IIT-JEE test timings would be from 7 am to 12 am in the morning and evening test from 2pm to 5 pm. IIT Kanpur Professor SK Choudhury has been selected as IIT-JEE committee chairman for 2011.
Last year, around 400,000 students had taken the IIT-JEE test for around 10,000 plus seats.
The Government of India, earlier planned to make changes in IIT-JEE test, but the new pattern is not finalized yet. The government wants to make IIT-JEE test more of an aptitude test, which may give importance to 10+2 – Intermediate marks. But, for this, year, students has to go through the old pattern with more focus on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
