Hyderabad: ICICI Prudential AMC, a group compnay country’s largest private sector bank ICICI Bank, has announced scholarship of Rs 12.7 lakhs to benefit 71 students under the ICICI Prudential Child Care Plan out of which 2.25 lakhs have been received by 11 students from Andhra Pradesh. The scholarship has been announced on the basis of HSC & SSC (10th Class) results to meritorious students for the Academic Year 2008- 2009. The scholarship is announced with the objective of providing financial assistance to deserving and meritorious students to help them in their future education.
More Details About the Scholarship The ICICI Prudential Child Care Plan: The Scheme was launched in the year 2001. As per the Scheme Information Document of the Scheme, a Scholarship Program was constituted for the benefit of unit-holders under the ICICI Prudential Child Care Plan. ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company has set up a trust – ICICI Prudential Young Student Education Trust, to institute and administer this Scholarship Scheme for deserving and meritorious students, with an initial corpus of Rs 500,000. The AMC contributes each year an amount equivalent to 0.10% of average net assets of the Plans under this Scheme. The programme has till date recognized and awarded 281 (including the current year) students. Eligibility for the Scholarship Programme: · The candidate (Unit-holder) should have invested in ICICI Prudential Child Care Plan on or before 31st December, 2008 for academic year 2008-09 · He/she should have continued to be a Unit-holder as on the date of announcement of scholarship by the Trustees of ICICI Prudential Young Students Education Trust · Candidates should have passed HSC (12th Standard) or SSC (10th Standard) or equivalent examinations in the academic year 2008-09 and scored an aggregate of more than 70% in all the subjects.
