High Court grants stay on NEET in AP for now
Hyderabad, November 30: As the ambiguity over the NEET is still persist, the Andhra Pradesh High Court today granted stay for now on a plea filed by a student. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – NEET is a nationwide mandatory test for UG and PG admission in medical colleges in the country. Following a Supreme Court order, Medical Council of India was keen to conduct the test across the country from coming academic year onwards. But, many states, including Andhra Pradesh are opposing the move, asking for two more years to gear up for the test.
Though the Union Health Ministry in principle accepted the proposal, there is no written orders giving exception to AP.
