Hyderabad, August 13, 2011: The Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test 2011 convener will announce the seat allocation to the engineering students on 14th August 2011, Sunday after 4 PM. EAMCET Engineering and Pharmacy stream students will get their seat allocation via SMS, registered with the convener at the time of the test. The web counseling options filling was ended on 12th and currently, data was under processing by National Informatics Center, New Delhi. Based on the student choice and rank, seat allocation will be done in a scientifically proven method to justify the rankers. Around 1.3 lakh students have registered for web counseling seat allotment under EAMCET convener quota, though the total number of engineering seats stood at 3 lakhs in Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, The Andhra Pradesh High Court has ordered to display the B Category applications list and served notices to CBIT, Sri Nidhi, MVSR Engineering Colleges along with the all concerned government departments. The top engineering colleges have allegedly not following the rules laid down by the government for filling the management quota seats and charging whooping amounts as donations.
