Hyderabad: There is a trend that the majority of the CBSE and ICSE kind of central syllabus students shifting to state syllabus (Intermediate) for 10+2 after Class 10th. This trend is increasing in recent times, mainly because, many of them are interested in EAMCET – Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Entrance Test, which is a must for admission in to professional colleges.
Approving this argument, in a recent interview with news paper Deccan Chronicle, Harvard Public School Principal Ms Sen said, the central syllabus students are preferring board exams at 10th class to secure more marks, which may help them to get the sean in top ranked junior colleges for intermediate. Top junior colleges means, they are aimed to get free seat or seat in good college with their choice of course via EAMCET.
Though there are some advantages in 10+2 central system, state syllabus gives them some advantage in Maths subject, experts opine.
