Hyderabad, March 16: IMS Test Prep, a division of IMS Learning Resources entered into a pact with Department of Welfare of Disabled, Government of Andhra to offer free coaching for CLAT – the entrance examination for National Law Schools. IMS Test Prep shall subsidise the training for these students and ensure adequate amount of training is provided to these students.
The scheme to be jointly launched by IMS Test Prep and Department for the Welfare of Disabled is for students who are Visually, Auditorily or Orthopedically disabled. The state government with IMS will conduct the screening test which includes a diagnostic test on lines of CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) at various districts across Andhra Pradesh and will shortlist top 50 candidates who will be given free training at IMS Test Prep’s Begumpet center.
IMS will provide study material and will deploy best technology practices to ensure that the shortlisted candidates get better equipped for the forthcoming LAW exams. All the successful Hearing Handicapped (HH) candidates will get the study material and test papers to support them to prepare for CLAT and other law entrance tests.
Orthopedic Handicapped (OH) and Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates would be coming to Hyderabad for a period of one month. The travelling expense, boarding, lodging, etc will be incurred by the Dept of Disabled Welfare; Government of Andhra Pradesh. IMS would ensure that visually impaired students should get the material in DAISY format
IMS in past has conducted similar initiative by offering free coaching programs for various NGOs.
