Hyderabad, March 4: The Department of School Education today issued orders to stop all kind of talent tests in the state. Dr. R. Satyanarayana, Commissioner and Director of School Education, in a statement said, all the District Educational Officers and the Regional Joint Directors of School Education in the state are instructed to monitor the issue. The state government earlier issued orders, but Kesavareddy Educational Society and Nexgen Educational Trust issued advertisements. After arguments and counter arguments, The Andhra Pradesh High Court issued orders to stop the any such test in the state.
Earlier, in its interim order, court said, the petitioner be permitted to conduct the talent test but the result of the same may not be published” .
By citing the interim orders of the Hon’ble High Court the management of the
Kesavareddy Educational Society have issued publicity in the Newspapers/ T.V. and other media calling for applications from the students of V to IX class studying in the schools in the state stating that the talent/ scholarship test is going to be held on 06-03-2011. The management of Nexgen Educational Trust also issued similar advertisements.
The Hon’ble High Court in their orders on 04-03-2011 “ vacated the interim
orders issued on 06-01-2011, and advised the department to initiate action prohibiting the petitioners from conducting any test under any name whatsoever “
In view of the orders of the Hon’ble High Court all the District Educational
Officers and the Regional Joint Directors of School Education in the state are instructed to take immediate necessary action to prevent the managements from conducting the tests and initiate action against such managements , by issuing notices and also issue press releases cautioning the parents and the students from falling prey to the advertisements of the private schools, the state government said in a statement.
