ECET-FDH 2011 Notification by JNTU | Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma Holders and B.Sc Mathematics Graduates | Lateral entry in to B.Tech Courses
Hyderabad, February 16: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, JNTU Hyderabad issued notification-inviting applications for an entrance test– Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma Holders ECET FDH 2011, which is a must to get lateral entry in the B.Tech courses for diploma holders and B.Sc Maths graduates.
ECET FDH 2011 is set for engineering diploma (Polytechnic) and B.Sc. Mathematics graduates to join in various branches of Engineering B.Tech through lateral entry route.
Students can opt Civil, Electrical, Mechanical (including Automobile, Packaging
Technology, Printing Technology & Foot Ware Technology), Computer Engineering
(including Special Diploma) , Electronics and Communication (including special diploma and special diploma in TV and sound technology), Diploma in bio medical engineering (including special diploma) mining, chemical (including sugar technology, ceramic technology, textile technology, leather technology), Metallurgy, Instrumentation, Bio Technology, Pharmacy courses.
Those who get ECET-2011 rank can take:
1. Lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year regular B.E./B.Tech.
Courses in All India Council for Technical Education approved Un-Aided Private
Professional Institutions.
2. Admission through Common Entrance Test into 1st year regular B.E./B.Tech. Courses
in University Engineering Colleges for the seats specifically earmarked for Diploma
holders.
3.For Lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year regular
B.Pharmacy Courses in both University and private un-Aided professional Institutions
approved by Pharmacy Council of India, for the academic year 2011-2012 to be
conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad.
IMPORTANT DATES for ECET-FDH 2011:
Commencement of sale of Applications: 21 Feb 2011.
Last date for filled in applications without late fee: 8th April 2011 5 PM.
Last date for filled in applications with late fee of Rs.500/-: 18th April 2011. 5 PM
Last Date for sale and receipt of applications with late fee of Rs.1000/-: 27th April 2011.
5 PM.
Last Date for sale and receipt of applications with late fee of Rs.5000/- (at convener
office only): 9th May 2011 5 PM.
Date and Timing of Entrance Test: 20th May 2011 Friday 10 am to 1 pm.
Late fee demand draft should be drawn in favor of The Secretary, APSCHE, Hyderabad.
APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILBLE IN ANDHRA BANK BRANCHES during the bank
working hours and all Main Post offices in district head quarters in the state.
