Hyderabad, 10 December 2013: Andhra Pradesh Revenue Department has issued notification for the recruitment 5963 VRA, VRO posts this year. AP Revenue Department will release VRA, VRO recruitment notification very soon. The recruitment will be conducted by CCLA (Chief Commissioner of Land Administration), AP. According to the latest announcement issued by N. Raghuveera Reddy, Revenue Minister of AP the district wise vacancy position and other details are given below.

AP VRA, VRO Selection Procedure: The selection for AP VRA, VRO posts will be done with a written test would conduct by CCLA. No Interview will be there.

Total posts:
VRA: 1658 posts
VRO: 4305 posts

AP VRA, VRO Recruitment Notification will be released on 28th December 2013
AP VRA, VRO Recruitment exam will be conducted on 2nd February 2014

Important Dates:
Preliminary key will be released on 4th February 2014
Results will be come out on 20th February 2013

Update Issued by The State Government on VRO VRA Recruitment 2013-14.

• The Government have issued orders for filling up of 1,657 vacant posts of
Village Revenue Officers and 4,305 vacant posts of Village Revenue
Assistants in Revenue Department.
• Educational qualification for the post of V.R.O., is Must have passed the
Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate
examination, Andhra Pradesh or passed the Three years Diploma recognized
by the State Board of Technical Education and Training.
• For the post of V.R.A., the candidate must have passed S.S.C., Andhra
Pradesh State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent Examination.
• The Age limit and relaxation of ages is furnished below keeping various
Government Orders issued from time to time.
For VROs: 18 to 36 years
Maximum age limit shall bein case of:
–Physically challenged I 46 years
–Ex-Serviceman (39) years & length of service rendered in the armed forces
–Retrenched temporary employees 39 years in the State Census Department
with a minimum service of 6 months:
A.P.State Government Employees 36 years + length of Regular service in
(Employees of APSEB, APSRTC service in any Govt. Dept.,
Corporations, Municipalities, subject to a maximum of
Universities etc., are not eligible)

For VRAs: 18 to 37 years
Maximum age limit shall be in case of:
–SC/STs: 42 years
–Physically challenged: 47 years
–Ex-Serviceman (40) years & length of service rendered in the armed forces

Other Information:
For the post of V.R.O., the applicant must be a local candidate of the district.
Local candidate means:— 1. Studied in an education institutions in such
local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years
ending with the academic year in which he appeared or, as the case
may be, first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination i.e.
Intermediate or three years Diploma only or

2. Where during the whole or any part of the four consecutive
academic years ending with the academic year in which he appeared
or as the case may be, first appeared for the relevant qualifying
examination he has not studied in any educational institution, if he has
resided in that local area for a period of not less than four years
immediately preceding the date of commencement of the qualifying
examination in which he appeared or as the case may be, first
appeared.
–For the post of V.R.A., the applicant must be a native of the Village.
–Nativity means ‘place of birth’. Place of Birth, evidenced by Birth
certificate. Place of ordinary residence of Parents, evidenced by Ration
Card, Voter—ID, Marriage certificate, Aadhar card or any other proof of
residence. (All the proofs shall be with reference to the date of
Notification)
–Place of study for a period of not less than Four consecutive academic
years out of 7 years, ending with the academic year in which he
appeared or, as the case may be, first appeared for the relevant
qualifying examination ie SSC examination.
–In the case of married women the place of ordinary residence of
husbands also be taken in to account for determining nativity while
considering appointments to the post of Village Revenue Assistant.
–The recruitment will be objective type for 100 marks in Telugu, English and
Urdu languages.
–The Selection of candidates is based on an objective type Written Test for
100 Marks at Intermediate level for V.R.Os., and SSC level for V.R.As.
General Studies : 60 Marks*
Arithmetic Skills : 30 Marks
Logical Skills : 10 Marks
* 50% of questions (30 Marks) will be aimed at testing the knowledge
of the candidate on rural areas and rural living conditions.
–The Notification will be issued on 28th December 2013 and the examination will be
conducted on 2nd February 2014.

–Final result will be declared on 20th February 2014 and the entire process of
recruitment i.e. issue of appointment orders to the newly recruited will be
completed by the end of February, 2014.
–In the process of recruitment, The A.P., Village Revenue Assistants Service
Rules, 2005 and A.P. Village Revenue Officers Service Rules, 2008 and Rule
of Reservation is being strictly observed as per Rule 22 of the A.P. State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996.
