Telangana Public Service Commission Establishment in July 2014 | TPSC Soon
Hyderabad, 30 June 2014: The Telangana Government has decided to establish a new pubic service commission, namely Telangana Public Service Commission – TPSC in the month of July 2014. Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandra Sekhar Rao met State Governer ESL Narasimhan to discuss the issue. The new Public Service Commission is aimed to look after the recruitment of the staff required for the new state.
As per the constitution, to establish Public Service Commission, some procedures should be followed. To create a Public Service Commission, the council of Ministers have to agree and should pass a resolution. The same resolution should be sent to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India for its acceptance. Then, the proposal will be sent to President for his nod to establish the PSC as constitutional body for state.
As per the government plan, the Telangana Public Service Commission will be established in the month of July 2014. Telangana State Government may issue recruitment notifications to fill up over 18,000 vacancies in various departments through TPSC.
TPSC may start working from Pragati Bhavan, Nampally, where now APPSC is working. Top two floors of the building may be allotted to TPSC initially.
Post bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is keen to establish the PSC for the state, to avoid any further conflict with the AP related body.
