HYDERABAD: In a bid to encourage the women to peruse the higher education fast moving consumer durables major Hindustan Unilever Limited – HUL is offering scholarships every year. HUL’s social service arm Fair & Lovely Foundation is offering scholarships up to Rs 1 lakh each for girl students from selected states including Andhra Pradesh, who are pursuing graduation, post-graduation and PhD courses.
Apart from hosting career exhibitions for girls, the foundation offers this scholarships every year.
The basic eligibility for the scholarship is a minimum of 60 per cent marks in 10th and 12th exams.

Eminent personalities like danseuse Vani Ganapathy, Ex-Chairperson, Andhra Pradesh State Women’s Commission Mary Ravindranath, Actress Saakshi Tanwar, Swimmer and Arjuna Award recipient Nisha Mille, Politician and designer Shaina NC, Bollywood singer Kavita Krishnamurthi, TV anchor and actress Rakshanda Khan, Advocate Pinky Anand were, in the past, panelists for selection of the candidates for the scholarships.
The foundation extended the scholarship to over 700 girls since the initiative’s inception in 2003.
