Oakridge School promoter group People Combine plans to expand in to Karnataka and setup more schools in AP

Hyderabad: People Combine group, which operates in education, real estate sectors planning to expand its education division by entering in to other states and expand its presence in Andhra Pradesh. Pomoted by Tummala Naga Prasad, Chairman and Rajasekhar Babu Yarlagadda, MD and others, the group recently consolidated all its operations in to one entity under brand name—People Combine.
People Combine at present runs six schools including Oakridge, Westwood and NTS (Nalanda Talent School) schools in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Tenali. The group is planning to spread its presence to other states, Karnataka to begin with. The group also runs Junior colleges with a brand name of Vikas.
“Our idea is to set up 16 more international schools across the country by 2015, each involving an investment of Rs 100 crore, including land cost. The first of the proposed schools will come up in Bangalore in 2012,” Oakridge International School chairman Shomie Das, told media persons here on Thursday.
The group, recently raised Rs.20 crore from venture capital firm ICICI Venture Capital for its expansion plans. The group may approach ICICI Venture in future based on the fund requirement.
