Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child 2013 Notification by UGC Released | UGC Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child 2013

Hyderabad, 11 September 2012: University Grants Commission, New Delhi inviting application froms from PG first year students for Indira Gandhi Scholarships for Single Girl Child for the academic year 2012-14.

Who are eligible: Single girl child in the family.

Educational Qualification: Candidates admitted in post-graduate first year regular non-professional degree course in any recognized university or a post-graduate college during the current year i.e. 2012-13 are eligible. Students admitted in open universities are not eligible.

Selection Criteria: Selection will be made by an Expert Committee on the basis of applications which are complete in all respects, received through online mode within the stipulated time frame.

How to apply: Through Online by http://www.ugc.ac.in/ website.

Last Date to apply by online: 3rd October 2012

    I spoke with the secretary UGC,Delhi, and she told that the notification is likely in November. Let’s hope it happens.

    My daughter is doing her BA literature second year. Is she eligible for SGC scholarship.She had received SGC scholarship at Higher secondary level scoring full A+ for all subjects.

    Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship is only for PG (Non Professional Courses) Students. So, your daughter is not eligible to apply for the scholarship during graduation.
