Consulate General Katherine says to check the credentials of the US Universities before taking admission

Hyderabad, August 21st, 2012: Referring the recent issues faced by the Indian students in with dubious Universities US, Katherine Dhanani, Consul General, Consulate General of USA, Hyderabad, advised the students to do home work in finding the credentials of the university before they seek admissions.

According to Katherine, students can use the resources like http://www.educationusa.gov or http://www.usief.org to seek credible information by provided by the US government.
Katherine Dhanani delivered the Foundation Day Lecture-2012 at the School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad on the theme ‘What it’s to be a diplomat manager’, on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhanani emphasised the role of a manager and diplomat and also stressed the need for stronger educational, social and cultural ties between US and India. She also outlined the Obama – Singh initiative and felt that there is a great scope for cooperation between the two countries.
She further highlighted the need for supporting the small and medium businesses and providing access to Indo-US business organisations. The Consul general also highlighted the increasing growth of Indo US business in focus areas like agri, IT and biotech.

She complimented the school faculty on this occasion and released five books edited by the School faculty. Dr. V. Venkata Ramana, Professor & Dean, School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad and Director, India Infrastructure Finance company (A Govt. of India Enterprise), felicitated Ms. Katherine Dhanani on the occasion.
