CII-HPCL SWAVALAMBAN PROJECT | Vocational training for unemployed youth | CSR activity by industry body to empower youth

Hyderabad, March 31: Confederation of Indian Industry Andhra Pradesh chapter organised HPCL –Swavalamban Project Valedictory Function 2010-11 here today.
As a part of Corporate Social responsibility initiatives CII Andhra Pradesh has been implementing Swavlambhan project from past five years where every year training was given to 300 unemployed youth in various vocational Skills. CII is partnering with various organizations like Mahindra Satyam Foundation, Lakshya Foundation and HEH Nizam & Alladin Technical Institute to train the unemployed youth.
Speaking at the Valedictory Function Debashis Basu, Managing Director Voith Turbo Pvt Ltd said that inclusive economic growth can better be achieved by creating employment opportunities for everyone in the society. The employment opportunities can be created with accelerated phase of industrial development as well as enhancing the skills of the people. In this context, improving the skil sets of more unemployed youth is necessary, he said.
