Hyderabad, September 3: Here is an update for CAT 2012 aspirants. Indian Institutes of Management today announced that the CAT 2012 Registration and Scheduling window would be closed at 11:59pm on Wednesday, 19 September 2012. CAT 2012 voucher sales will end on Monday, 17 September 2012. Prometric, provider of market-leading test development and test delivery solutions, is IIMs’ partner in developing and delivering CAT 2012.

Registrations for CAT 2012 started on 30 July and, like previous years since its conversion to computer-based testing, candidates has been scheduling for their tests online based on their preferred choice of location, date and time. New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune are the top cities in terms of the highest numbers of scheduled tests to date. The current registration trend also indicates a slightly higher percentage of female candidates this year. Final registration data will only be released after the close of the registration & scheduling window.

CAT is for the admission in to IIMs – the top management institutions in the country. Currently there are 13 IIMs named as IIMs Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kashipur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Shillong, Tiruchirappalli and Udaipur.
