BlackBerry Scholars Program | Scholarships for talented women for University Education

Hyderabad: The smart phone maker RIM Indian arm has announced BlackBerry Scholar Program for offering scholarships for talented Indian women looking for university level education. According to an announcement by BlackBerry, the Scholars Program is aimed to pick up talented and committed young women passionate about the mobile computing industry.
“The scholars will be selected by a panel of inspirational and accomplished women, led by BlackBerry Global Creative Director Alicia Keys, who will recruit candidates based on their academic merit and passion for entering the mobile computing industry,” BlackBerry said in release.

BlackBerry Scholars Program will be looking for bright and best women students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics–called as STEM.

The BlackBerry Scholars Program will provide scholarships to outstanding applicants who are seeking degrees at accredited local colleges and universities in the areas of STEM across India. Interested and eligible Indian Students can apply to this scholarships before 27th June 2013.
“This scholarship program is the first step in BlackBerry’s long-term commitment and multi-tiered strategy to engage young women at every step of their education from secondary school to college, and as they rise through their careers,” BlackBerry said.

BlackBerry, the brand belongs to Research in Motion makes smart phone devices widely used as business mobility gadget across the globe.
