APTET July 2011 updates | Clarification on Syllabus for Language Pandits

Hyderabad, May 24: Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) of July 2011 Clarification by Director APTET.

Query 1: Certain Graduate Language Pandits have not passed Intermediate Course. In such a case how can a candidate answer questions in Paper-Il for certain subjects like Mathematics and Science or Social Studies if she/he is given questions from class 11 and class 12 (Intermediate).

Similarly, certain other trained Graduates in Science and Mathematics raised doubts about how can a Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (MPC) candidate answer Biological Science questions of class 11 and class 12 (Intermediate). Similarly, how can a Botany Zoology, Chemistry (BZC) candidate answer Mathematics and Physics questions of level of class 11 and class 12 (Intermediate).

Clarification: In view of such difficulties of candidates it is decided to set questions in Paper-II of APTET, July, 2011 upto S.S.C. level only.

Query 2: Why the student teachers (Teacher Trainees) of D.Ed / B.Ed / LPT who are now pursuing the course during 2010-11 and appearing for final year exam in their respective Teacher Education Course shortly are not allowed for APTET, July 2011?

Clarification: In the light of several representations from student teachers (Teacher Trainees) the candidates pursuing the Final year of qualifying Exam i.e., D.Ed/B/Ed/LPT are permitted as a special case for APTET, July 2011 for Paper-I or Paper-II or both as the case may be.

ii. The Minimum Qualifications required shall be the same as notified earlier except for candidates who are pursuing B.Ed the percentage of marks in their qualifying Bachel0r’s Degree (B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com) and/or in the Master’s degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto, shall be fifty percent(50%). However relaxation of 10% is applicable in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/ Differently abled (PH) candidates.

iii. The procedure for submission of online application remains same as that of earlier notification No.2011/B1/TE/TET/2011 Dt.19.05.2011 published on 20.052011.

iv. They need to enter their details in the online application available on “http://aptet.cgg.gov.in” from 27-05-2011.

v. However, the last date of payment of fee shall remain as 16-06-2011 and the last date for submission of online application shall remain as 17-06-2011.
