Hyderabad, October 20: Computer Education major Aptech Ltd today signed a pact with TRRAIN Foundation to train at least 20,000 candidates in retail management in next 3 years, the company said in press release today. TRRAIN and Aptech will jointly develop the training modules, which may be helpful for candidates seeking careers in retail sector. While Aptech will specially create content, training and academic support process, TRRAIN will provide required infrastructure. The program may be conducted in all major cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Benguluru, Delhi and other places, where retail sector is booming.
Indian retail sector, estimated at 450 billion dollar market by 2015 is facing huge shortage of skilled manpower. Retail companies like Future Group which runs Big Bazaar, Central Mall and stores like Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons were facing acute shortage of trained manpower, as their retail outlets are growing day by day. The jobs like sales man, cashier, procurement experts, store managers are typical jobs in the retail sector.
