APPSC Group 1 exam Syllabus | Group 1 2012 exam Pattern for Group 1 Exam

Hyderabad: The process of submission of application is over. Aspirants for Group 1 have to make a plan to prepare for this competitive exam. Here is the syllabus for Group 1 candidates according to appsc. The exam will be in two stages. One is Screening Test and the other is Written Test (Mains). Candidates those who get eligibility in screening test only can allow to write Mains.
General Studies & Mental Ability
(Objective Type) 150 Questions, 150 marks
Exam Duration: 2 hours 30min.

General English

Exam Duration: 3 hours
General Essay
Exam Duration: 3 hours
Marks: 150
i. History & Cultural heritage of
India with emphasis on 20 th century history of India.
ii. Social history of Andhra Pradesh i.e., the history of various
social and cultural movements in Andhra Pradesh
iii. General overview of the Indian Constitution
150 Marks
Exam Duration: 3 hours
i) Planning in India & Indian Economy
ii) Land Reforms and social changes
in Andhra Pradesh after independence
iii) Andhra Pradesh’s Economy, present status its strengths and weaknesses
150 Marks
Exam Duration: 3 hours
i) The role and impact of Science & Technology in the development of India with emphasis on the applied aspects
ii) General awareness with the modern trends in life sciences.
iii) Development and environmental problems
150 Marks
Exam Duration: 3 hours
