Osmania University Distance Education MBA MCA and PG Admission Notification – 2009-10

Professor G. Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University has issued notification for the academic year 2009-10 for the admissions in to MBA, MCA and various PG courses, undergraduate and PG diploma courses. Osmania Distance Education center is approved by Distance Education Council.

Here is the notification Details:

Candidates from all over india will be admitted without age and area restriction and without any entrance test (Except for MBA & MCA) provided they fulfill the requisite conditions of eligibility to various courses as detailed below.

Courses & Eligibility Information:

P.G.Courses:

1. M.B.A. (year-wise, 3 years) – Master of Business Administration

A candidate should qualify ICET-2009
 and pass the qualifying examination with Mathematics, as one of the subject in the Degree course. Others who passed the qualifying examination without Mathematics, as one of the subject in the Degree course, are eligible for admission if they pass 10th Class or 10+2 examination with Mathematics.

2. M.C.A. (year-wise, 3 years) – Master of Computer Applications

A candidate should qualify ICET-2009 and pass the qualifying examination with Mathematics, as one of the subject in the Degree course. Others who passed the qualifying examination without Mathematics, as one of the subject in the Degree course, are eligible for admission if they pass 10+2 examination with Mathematics.

3. M.A. English / Hindi / Telugu / Sanskrit / Urdu

Graduate of any faculty and studied the subject concerned at the UG level. (3-years)

4. M.A. Economics / Pol. Science / History

A pass in B.A.(3-years) and studied the subject concerned at UG level.

5. M.A. Public Personnel Management / Philosophy / Sociology

Graduate of any faculty

6. M.A. Psychology

A candidate should have passed UG Degree (3-years) Examination with Psychology as one of the subjects in B.A. or Bachelor of Mentally Retarded (BMR) / Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) / M.Ed. / M.A. (Education) / M.Sc. (Home Science) / Diploma in Child Psychology / Diploma in industrial Psychology.

7. M.Com.

Pass in B.Com. (3-years)

8. M.Sc. (Mathematics)

A pass in B.Sc. (3-years) / B.E. / B.Tech. and studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at UG level or a pass in PG Diploma in Maths.

9. M.Sc. (Statistics)

A pass in B.Sc. and studied Mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects at UG level (3-years)

U.G.Courses

10. B.A. (Languages) – Telugu (3 years, year-wise)

Pass in the Diploma in Oriental Language / Pre-Degree Course with English as one of the subjects / its equivalent / B.O.L / B.A. Degree Examination or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

11. B.A. (3 years, year-wise)

Intermediate Pass or 10+2 or any equivalent examination

12. B.A. Mathematics & Statistics (3 years, year-wise)

Intermediate pass or 10+2 or equivalent examination and studied Mathematics or Statistics at 10+2 level.

13. B.Com. (3 years, year-wise)

Intermediate pass or 10+2 or any equivalent examination

PG Diplomas (one year, year-wise)

14. P.G. Diploma in Mathematics

Graduate of any faculty (3-years)

15. P.G. Diploma in English Language Teaching

Graduate of any faculty (3-years)

16. P.G. Diploma in Business Management

Graduate of any faculty (3-years)

17. P.G. Diploma in Computer Applications (One year of two semesters)

Pre-Degree Course

18. Pre-Degree Course in Oriental Language – Telugu (Two years, year-wise)

A pass in SSC / qualify an Entrance Examination in Oriental Languages – Telugu conducted by a University / State or a pass Visharada Examination of Andhra Saraswatha Parishath with English as one of the subjects.

19. Modular Certificate Courses (CD based)

Intermediate pass (365 days rolling admissions)

Prospectus-cum-Application form can be had from 15th July, 2009. Those desirous of obtaining the Prospectus-cum-Application form by post must send a Demand Draft for Rs. 150/- in favour of the Director, Prof. G. Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University, Hyderabad – 500 007, drawn from any Nationalized Bank only and payable at Hyderabad along with a self addressed envelope of 11” x 5” size. The Course, name and address of the candidate should be written on the back side of the Demand Draft. The Prospectus-cum-Application form in person can also be obtained by submitting a DD for Rs.100/-, at Sales counter or SBH Extension counter situated in the premises of the PGRRCDE, the University Press & Publications, OU: Andhra Bank, Vidyanagar; Canara Bank, Mettuguda, Indian Bank, Shivam Road, New Nallakunta, State Bank of Hyderabad main branches at Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Siddipet and also from Coordinator, Girraj Govt. College, Nizamabad and Nagarjuna Govt. Degree College, Nalgonda.
