EAMCET : NRI Students can now sit for Engineering , Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test in Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad:  Good news for parents and students who are living abroad. From coming year onwards, ( effective EAMCET 2010 ), children of non-resident Indians can from Andhra Pradesh can write EAMCET – Engineering , Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test. The Higher Education Department has taken a decision to allow NRI students to sit for EAMCET to secure a seat in Engineering or Medical College in the state. Till now, NRI students are not eligible to write EAMCET and they have only option to take a seat in NRI or Management quota. This will reduce the burden to at least some NRI’s who can’t afford higher NRI or Management quota fee structure. EAMCET 2010 is expected to commence in the Month of April this year.
