EAMCET 2009 rankers may consider 5 years integrated engineering course B.Tech with M.Tech or M.B.A.

Hyderabad: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University – JNTU is launching a unique five year course termed as integrated engineering course for the students who have secured rank in EAMCET. Starting this year, the new 5 year integrated engineering course is a combination of 4 years Bachelors Degree in Engineer – B.Tech and one year post graduation in engineering or Management studies. This means, students who opts for this 5 years course will be  completed M.Tech or MBA along with B.Tech degree. In normal circumstances,  it takes two years to complete the post graduation in any discipline.  With the JNTU’s new initiative, now students can complete the PG course in just one year. JNTU is starting this course as pilot project. Once it proves with good results, the course may be extended to other colleges later. The aim of the designing this program is to improve quality manpower and help the students to secure better jobs. In the current environment, Industry is not getting productive postgraduates and there is huge gap in demand and supply for the high-end skilled talent. JNTU hopes that, this kind of changes in the course structure may fill the gap.
